Christmas Gifts and Leather Clad Women
I can't believe this is my fourth day off already. Uggh. I thought about going in to work on Thursday and Friday of this week to save a few vacation hours, but if the next couple of days go as quickly as the last four have gone, I'm not going back until the 4th. I have some work I can do at home if I get that motivated.
I hope everyone has enjoyed their Christmas or whatever your holiday of choice is. My Christmas was good.
The Warden, The Boy, The Girl and I went to the Lions/Saints game on Christmas Eve. I’d never gone to a pro football game before. Maintaining consistency, we forgot to bring the digital camera to the game. There were 63,000+ people at the game. I’m thinking that the game might have been the most populous event I’ve ever been to. I could be wrong though. How packed was Sun Devil stadium when we went to see the Stones in 1981 Nay? I’m thinking it was overflowing and that the stadium capacity is in the neighborhood of 75K.
So we get into the Alamodome and buy two ice-cold beverages for the low, low price of $5.75. That’s for a twelve-ounce cerveza. After forking over the $, we headed for the clubhouse level. We arrived without incident, kids in tow. The gatekeeper, an elderly gentleman in a red coat, informed us that we couldn’t bring our beer into the section because we’d purchased it downstairs from a different vendor. Huh? After giving the guy a little good-natured grief, we stepped away and let others have their way with the guy. The Warden stashed her beer under her jacket. I chugged mine. The Gatekeeper then let us pass.
The rest of the day was uneventful. We ate peanuts, drank beer, and cheered. Both the Lions and the Saints suck, but it was a good game. The Lions won with a field goal as time ran off the clock.
Christmas Eve was quiet and peaceful...just the way I like it.

Christmas was groovy. I got myself a new watch, some DVDs, and a nice exercise bike. I can’t run because of creaky knees, a lack of somewhere suitable to run, and my general dislike of running.
The Warden’s gift was the BOTV (Big ol’ TV). I also got her a wireless keyboard/mouse combo for her computer and a diamond ring that my father gave to my mother way back when. One it’ll be the girl’s, and I’m hoping that it gets passed down long after I’m gone.
The Girl got some DVDs, a few knick-knacks, and a new computer.
The Boy got a Playstation 2 Slim (which the girl uses too so it’s kind of a gift for both), an Ipod, and an Ipod accessory that’ll let him play his music on any car or home stereo that has an FM receiver.
We went over to The Warden's mom's house around midday for turkey and cocktails. We came back around 5:00pm and prepared some food & had a few cocktails.
It was a good day.

The other day I bought some component video cables to replace the composite video cables that run between our DVD player and our new Sony HDTV. One of the DVDs I put in to check the new quality (it was a little better) was The Matrix. I watched the opening scene, with my usual admiration of how nice Carrie Anne Moss looks in her leather outfit. Then it occurred to me that she looked, really good, especially her derriere.
Carrie Anne Moss is a very nice looking woman, but not so good looking as to elicit a “Damn!” out of me. That being the case, I’m now wondering if I have a thing for tall chicks (she’s 5’ 8 ½”). Or could it be chicks who kick ass. Or leather. Or maybe tall chicks with great asses, kicking ass in tight leather clothes. Now I’m really confused! Here are a couple of pictures of Ms. Moss. Only the first one is from the opening scene.
Actually, I’ve always had a thing for short chicks, which makes this all the more perplexing. Help me out here friends! I’m anticipating the laughs your replies will bring me :-)

"I mean, there was a serious international effort to say to Saddam Hussein, you're a threat. And the 9/11 attacks extenuated that threat, as far as I—concerned." —Philadelphia, Dec. 12, 2005

Sounds as though you had a fabulous holiday!!! Mine has been quiet for the most part other the the "little fucker" that taunted Nephew N., AnnE and I on our walk yesterday. I may blog about that later if I get some sort of crativity flowing.
I've never been to a pro-football game and try to avoid large crowds these days. That is unless it includes back stage passes and free booze and rock music. ;)
Enjoy the rest of your time off from work. Oh and if you need to save days to go to ~Y~'s in July get your butt into work on Thursday and Friday ;)
I Love ya Cj!!!
Carlos, I hate to be the one telling you this, but that is pleather. You cannot move this freely in leather this tight. As to your fascination.....I can't help you on that one. Glad you had a great Christmas!
First, I was at that Stones show too! Second, They pulled that, same level drinking game on us at a Chiefs game last year. It's what the guys in the red coats do to the alcoholics to amuse themselves. Third, It's the pleather, as RLB said. I'm not normally to inspired by the bull dyke look. But bull dyke, in pleather, doing the splits, 8 feet in the air (on purpose) WOW!
