I'm Tired

This week has been long so far. Nothing terrible...just long. I don't have much creative shit flowing through my brain either, so don't expect much today.

The flu, or crud, or something is going around town. I think I've got a hint of it. I woke up this morning with a wicked sore throat, and feel generally run-down othewise.

At work we had a lot of fun going back in time while talking about old cartoons. Here are a few...who can guess 'em? (and I ain't givin' ya easy ones...okay....just one):

I only know number 6....and I thought I knew all the old cartoons. Guess I didn't rot my brains as much as my mom said I would.

is #5 the frog from Bugs Bunny? the 'hello my baby, hello my honey' frog? if not, I just totally suck. :D

Wow, that was hard! A big fat 0 for me also. We weren't allowed to sit around and watch cartoons, we had to go play outside. Hell, we wanted to play outside! In the winter we put on a coat, in the summer a bathing suit top and some short shorts. We learned to solve problems and we didn't know what childhood obesity was. Now days children's service would take away your kid for that.
I know you came from my world. How did U get away with watching cartoons?

Oh gosh, I'm either old or I watched too many syndicated cartoons on TV as a kid. Can't say I cared for Josie and the Pussycats at all. Why they had a long running time is beyond me. Mysteries were better solved with 'ole Scooby and the Shagman.

I know #6 is Josie and the Pussycats and I should know #4, but my brain refuses to share the information with me lol.

If I remember correctly, you could only watch cartoons on Saturday mornings (at least in my part of the world) - so that was something my sisters and I looked forward to each week.

After cartoons, we had to do our chores, then we could play. Our Mom encouraged us to play outside (she had ulterior motives - "I NEED SOME PEACE AND QUIET!") lol.

Like Bunny said - childhood obesity was unheard of when I was young. We were too busy making mud pies and swimming in irrigation ditches to get fat. Then Pong came along....lol

Hope you feel better soon.
