It's Fookin' Winter
Ice, snow and hail today! That means a little whisky tonight. The Boy's drive home from school this afternoon will be his first in this kind of weather. I sent him a text message from work and called him after he was out of school. You know: "Be careful. Keep a safe distance behind cars and don't go around corners too fast."

This is perhaps one of the coolest pictures I have. It it's a scanned copy of a copy so it’s kinda spotty. The guy on the left is my uncle Brad. The guy on the right is his foster brother Hal. It was taken just outside of Phoenix in the early fifties.

Hope the boy made it home safe and sound. I remember longing for the day that my kids would become "independently mobile". Then when it happened, I realized I had just exchanged one set of worries for another.
