Shelley

My dear Shelley goes in for surgery tomorrow morning. Not your average run-of-the-mill surgery either. It’s s six-hour procedure. I’ll be taking her in around 6:30am tomorrow. I’ll stick around for a couple of hours and see her off to her adventure, and then I’ll go into work. She insists people not hang around the hospital while she sleeps, which really makes sense, but I’ll still have some guilt about not being there. I’ll head to the hospital immediately after work.

After tomorrow’s surgery, she’ll be in the hospital until the 7th, at which time she’ll have another procedure before being discharged around the 11th or 12th to come home. Her sister will be here to help by then, which is good because I have virtually no leave accrued in this new job.

I’ll post again tomorrow night with an update – maybe short posts from my cell phone.

Wow. You really do have a full plate, don't you? Best wishes to Shelley and you.

My prayers are with you and Shelley! Here is hoping that all goes smoothly and that she comes out of it with as little discomfort as possible....

Ah. Thanks, baby and everyone else. It's not the discomfort I am worried about the most (they have drugs for that) it's the thinking process. Hope I remember you after my "brainectomy". Lu - not too sure about the new haircut, though. ;o)

I do hope your cell phone has a full keyboard; typing out a post with abc on one key, def on the other, etc. can be quite a chore.
