Another Blogger Gone x 2

Raise The Thunderbeam & The Rants In My Pants

Two blogs by a guy who called himself Rimpy Rimperton. We met online a while back and even collaborated on a blog. He took a break from blogging for Lent. Sunday or Monday I went to visit them again, and poof! They were gone.  No adios, no nothing.  Such is life.

His blogger profile is still there, but I suspect that'll be gone sometime soon too.  I sent him an email, but haven't heard back yet.

Former Bloggers :-(

Once upon a time I had a blogger buddy named Nigel. The dude was a real hoot. He's provided me witith many laughs over the last few years.

Over time, as seems to be the case with most bloggers, his blogging slowed down to nearly a stop. I moved my browser favorite to his blog to an "inactive" folder. (I do that often, and check in every so often to see if they start back up.).

Anyway...

On 2/19/09 he posted. At some point after that he shut it down. That's when I moved the fave into the "inactive" folder. He opened it back up in June of 2009 and made two posts, then didn't post again until November. Then a few posts in January of 2010, and two in March.

On May 18th, he posted this, explaining why he wasn't around so much any more: Lung cancer.

On 7/22 he posted this:

Well, shlubs, being that it is what it is, here now is my latest and greatest:

• I have a vision of heaven. It's Lindsey Lohan crying while Mel Gibson screams at her.
• Loads of fun at parties.
• Doctors suck
• Doctors really suck
• Doctors suck dead hippos, though nurses are okey-doke with me, mostly due to the sponge-baths.
• Don't smoke.

AND THEN THERE WAS PEG
She had cancer too.
She stopped blogging in April of 2009 without a trace.
Poor thing.

Another One Bites The Dust

Add another one to the list.

Seems our friend Nigel has gone missing, and it doesn’t look good. His last post, if my memory serves me, was on February 18th. Now his blog is completely gone. His profile’s still there, but no blog.

Hope you’re just building another one and didn’t commit blogger suicide on us.

Blogger Suicide

2 Girls and a Guy
It was a fun blog for a while. Didn’t know much about the guy. He was in the throes of internet death by the time I started visiting. The chicks were very cool. One was in North Texas; the other was in New Mexico. A sister commented regularly, and they all visited my blog all the time. We chatted online and generally had a lot of fun.

Anonymous Midwest Girl
Very funny young woman from, you guessed it, the Midwest. I very much enjoyed reading her blog, but then she went and met a dude and has been in a blog coma ever since.

Bad Moods are Contagious
The blog never took off, but the person was a regular visitor to mine, and had a profile name of Cool Sponge Bob.

WebMiztris
A way funny, nutty chick from Bum Fuck Pennsylvania. She started playing guitar in a band and bailed. She has a Myspace page, but Myspace sucks ass, so I don’t visit it but once every few months to see what she’s up to. She stopped visiting blogs altogether.

Ivy
Up around the DFW area. A funny, sweet woman and regular visitor to my blog. Her sister Jules (see below) also blogged a lot for a while.

Madman
This guy used to blog about some skank who worked with him. It was a riot. Some of the funniest shit I’d read on a blog. Then his boss caught wind of it (and the skank, I think), so he had to shut it down. He moved to another blog but it never took off. Looks like he had some health probs.

Moonchild’s LifeA regular commenter but, since she deleted all her blog entries, I have no recollection of her.

Stringman
Regular visitor who had a fun blog once upon a time, then he just vanished.

Musings of a Chick
Prolific blogger at one time and sometimes-visitor to mine. Thought she’d committed internet suicide, then not…now I think she might be in an internet coma.

Theater of the Absurd
Jules (Ivy’s sister) is a pistol. She moved to bum fuck, Louisiana and effectively disappeared. She used to email once in a while, but has stopped that too. Funny, talented, and self-proclaimed nymphomaniac.

Others
There’ve been a few other blogs, the links to which I simply deleted when they disappeared. Wish I’d have kept them for this post.
