Saturday Morning I took The Girl out to a big parking lot for her first-ever driving experience. We first spent a little in-car classroom time – talking about pedals, buttons, lights, mirrors, etc. We did a good bit of driving too: Forward, backwards, around in circles, braking, hard braking, accelerating, turning, etc.

Her favorite part of the lesson? Accelerating quickly to 35mph then hitting the brakes hard (but not hard enough to flatten our faces on the steering wheel & dash board.

She did well for her first time. I wasn’t much concerned with accuracy and pinpoint aim; I mainly wanted her to get the feel for the car.

Back to the barbecue. Hope you’re all doing well.

Because I haven’t finished organizing the trip pics
I saw this on Miss Celania’s blog. If you are computer geeky, you’ll appreciate it. Did a little digging and found out these anti-rappers are/were Stanford computer geeks. Found this video of them doing a UNIX rap.

Nay: If you haven’t seen Conchords on HBO on Sundays, you need to see it. It ain’t right, and I know you can appreciate that. Here’s a musical clip from last Sunday’s show. If I thought you’d have answered your phone, I would’ve called you tell you to check it out ;-)

Dawn: Can you relate to this? I just know ya can!

Bunny & Early: This one’s for you! I think I sent you the link a while back, but what the hell.

This one cracks me up.

New feminine hygiene product.

One of the best guitar players that ever lived:

Gawd time flys. Didn't we just have the boy learning to drive yesterday? I hate when that happens.

Hey there!!!

I have not seen the show and don't have HBO, so I'll have to wait till it is released on DVD. Were those guys the town troubadours:)

I have to agree with you about Stevie Ray Vaughan. I'm pretty certain that I have all his CDs except the one with his brother "Family Style". Tom got them all but I have replaced all but that one. I seen him at the Arizona State Fair and what a show that was!

The Rumsfield clip cracked me up to.

I'll ignore the comment about me not answering my phone. ;)

I read this & watched all the videos because I REALLY don't want to take my Accounting exam...I have now run out of excuses. Why can't you write more?!?

WebMiz: Hmmm….I wonder…

Bunny ~N~ Early: I was thinking the same thing. Ain’t it a bitch?

Nay: Shame….the show’s just wrong! I never got a chance to see SRV. You’re very fortunate. I bet that concert kicked ass. Thank you for ignoring. :-)

Jules: I’m curious to know what you were expecting.

Gator: Me too!

Anonymous: Cuz I’m lazy this week ;-)

You've sold me on The Conchords, dude! I'm totally there now (or at least with my Tivo).

and the new feminine product commercial is just the way they should have been all along....hilarious!

And I've sent the Donald Rumsfeld clip to everyone on my A-list :)

Thanks for a post full of humor and many opportunities for sharing. That's why you rock, Carlos!
