PhirePhox

This is an unscheduled post. I just had to post about a little widget I got for my Firefox browser.

For those of you who don’t use Firefox, go here and download/install it. It rules, especially with all it’s groovy plugins, extensions and add-ons.

The one I got the other day is called StumbleUpon.

In a nutshell, it let’s you browse through random sites of the categories of your choosing, rate them, recommend them, and comment on them. To give you an example of what I’ve found over the last two days, here are some random links. They range from useful, to fun, to totally useless. Remember, what kind of sites you see depends on what categories you select. It's awesome...don't let my random selection discourage you!

Anyway…you get it. Go get yourself some Firefox and all the cool shit that comes with it. I work in the information security world and highly recommend it as a much more secure and stable web browser than IE.

WebMiz is the only other I know here who uses it. I’m sure she’ll recommend it, being in the web biz and all.

I’m going to slack now.

That is all.

I also like Thunderbird (email) for it also has so many cool plugins. You are right, Firefox rocks.

My only beef with three different browsers is as a designer - you have to check how each displays your code. IE seems to allow anything but Firefox wants clean code or else.

Thanks for sharing that plugin, that is quite a nifty find. -M

Margaret: Thanks for reminding me. I downlaoded T-bird the other day and haven't installed it yet. Know what you mean about checking for the display. Glad you liked the plugin. I'm hooked!

Gator: Yeah man. I really like it. I'll check on the safari upgrade and let you know...dick! Just kidding man. Yeah man. I really like it. I'll check on the safari upgrade and let you know...dick! Just kidding man.

WebMiz: Textgrams is way too fun not to annoy people with! Much fun-o! You're very welcome for the link. Unlike Deepak, you post stuff I like to read. Plus, you're a hell of a lot better looking than he is!
