Berries and Bob

BERRIES
The Strawberry Festival was fun. Had some beer (which I drink when there’s no whisky), gorditas, a turkey leg and bought a half a flat of strawberries, the remnants of which I shall devour tonight. Of all the years I’ve been going to this festival, this is the first time I bought strawberries there. I suppose I shouldn’t have judged Poteet’s strawberries based on the shit for fruit they sell at the local supermarkets here in San Antonio.

Here are a few pics, minus captions.

BOB
Bob the Mighty Hunter is ill. He’s been slow, lethargic, and mildly disoriented for a couple of days. I’m thinking he ate something he ought not to have et during one of his overnight forays into the ‘hood. Maybe some rancid garbage; maybe some poison; maybe a toad.

He’s got an appointment tomorrow with the pussy doctor. I’ll be dropping him off at 7:30am (in the morning Nay!) where he’ll get observed, “vampired” and otherwise poked and prodded. Just ain’t the same ‘round here when he’s not himself.

Keep him in your thoughts.

Back to my whisky.

Gorditas - yum yum yum - what a treat! Sorry you had to drink beer.

Hope Bob gets a good report from the vet.

Gator: LOL. Yes, other than the gay population!

WebMiz: Update posted

Sheila: Yeah....it was tough drinking beer ;-)

Arlene: I wish my kids loved strawberries that much! The Girl doesn't like them (what?!). The Boy likes 'em, but not like I do! They were the best strawberries I've had in Texas. After living in Southern California for 10 years, my standards for fruit are very high. There's nothing like a California strawberry!

Bunny~n~Early: Bob will live to see the light of another day :-)
