I haven’t talked much to my sister over the last few years. It’s a long story, but I’ve been slowly working to reconcile our once-close relationship. We’ve been in regular contact via email now for the past few months.

She’s having some hard times with her fuck of a husband of 15 years right now. I don’t know all the gory details, but I do know it’s to the point that she’s leaving the state today to go live with our aunt.

I've had a low opinion of her husband for years. The minute I met him I knew he was full of shit; just one of those people who you know spews one long, constant stream of lies and bullshit; someone who thinks he’s slick, when he’s not; someone who think he’s got you fooled, when he really doesn’t.

Once upon a time when they visited us, I kicked his ass out of my house for being verbally unkind to my sister. I got in his face in the front yard and threatened him menacingly and very businesslike. You know…the kind of threat where the recipient can’t help but know you mean it.

Anyway….send some nice thoughts to my ol’ sis. She’s leaving today for her new home.

Yeah I've known men like him.

I wish her all the luck at her new place.

Menacingly businesslike, I like it.

I wish your sister all the best.

What state is she moving to? New beginnings are a good thing. I know it worked for me. Give her my best.

I also hope one day you two can build a new close relationship.

One of my favorite quotes is this:

When you are forced to take that first step into the darkness of the great unknown, you can be sure of two things:
You will either be given a soft place to land or you will be given wings to fly.

Sounds like she's found her soft place to land and soon it will be time for her to soar!

She'll be in my thoughts:)

I've known a lot of his spiritual brothers. She has all my best wishes.

When I left my ass of a husband, I had the support of a great brother. Glad she has the same. I was nervous and scared at first, but I hadn't put up with mine as long as your sister has with hers. My brother gave me a great quote also, "What appears to be the end may really be a new beginning." She has my best wishes.

Kind thoughts sent.15 years is a long time to spend with a dick. I'm glad she's finally finding her way to better things.
It sucks not being able to talk with family. I sooo can relate to where you're coming from. I hope you two can work things out and find the closeness you once had.
It must have taken everything you had not to kick the dicks ass back when you had to be business like. I'm sure you let it go just to keep the peace, good for you.

Sheila: Thanks. Yeah. He’s a real piece of work. Like I told my sister in an email: “He should pray our paths don’t cross again.”

Woozie: Thank you sir.

Nay: I will do just that next time I speak with her.

BBM: I’m going to send her that quote. It’s perfect.

Beth: Thank you for the kind words and the visit.

Shelley:I just hope she doesn’t go back to him. She’s left and gone back before; just never out of state. I hope that’s a good sign.

Bunny~n~Early: 15yrs is way too long. I can’t believe she stayed with him that long. If you saw what he looked like, you’d wonder how she could’ve spent 15 minutes with him. I know…superficial…but he’s got the crap personality to go along with the crap looks, so there. It did take everything I had not to pound him. The only reason I didn’t was because I was at my mother’s-in-law house, and because of my sis. Thanks for the kind words & thoughts.
