Sunday

To you and me, Super Bow Sunday is Super Bowl Sunday. To advertisers, it’s known as “The Big Game.” Why? The NFL won’t allow it to be used in commercials. God forbid Betty and Billy Joe Brown in Podunk, Texas make an extra buck advertising their discount televisions on the ol’ tee-vee by getting everyone into an over-consumeristic froth over the Super Bowl. Just ain’t right. It’s not like the NFL is going to make any money by forbidding it. The greed in our society is amazing.

We’re having a few people over for the game today. I took tomorrow off. I’ll have a few drinks, play some poker before the game, and sleep in tomorrow. Sleeping in for me means I’ll be up at around 6:00am.
