The holier-than-thou, moral, god-fearing Republicans of my fair city thought up a cool little trick for last Tuesday’s primary. Since 100-year-war McCain had their party’s nomination pretty much wrapped up, the political right of the Alamo city thought I’d be bitchin’ to vote for The Bitch because The N*@#$ would probably have a harder time beating McCain in the presidential election. So vote they did.
While this is all perfectly legal, doesn’t it seem a bit hypocritical to you that voters of a party which so often claims to be moral, righteous and true would work the system like that? It sure does to me.
But wait – there’s more. According to a Newsweek poll, many Democratic respondents would vote for McCain if their candidate wasn’t nominated. Talk about contradiction!

Off to take The Girl to the mall now.

The Democrats voting for McCain instead of whoever doe seem kind of childish, but I'd be incredibly bitter if either of them stole the election from the other with those dammed superdelegates (or if they count Florida and Michigan as-is rather than another election).
Woozie: Superdelegates - yes. I'm not sure I get those. Why should they count more than any other? Ain't right.
