Sunday

Yesterday was a good day. After suffering through a shitty construction delay on the road, I dropped Shelley off at her friend’s house, then picked up my sweet daughter and her boyfriend. It was movie day for everyone.

Instead of doing IHOP, The Girl, her boyfriend and I did Chick-Fil-A before the movie. I hadn’t met her boyfriend before. He was polite and dutifully respectful, calling me sir every time he talked to me. I let him, for now. The movie was nothing to speak of, but hanging out with them youngsters was fun. I fed the change machine, and my reward was getting my ass handed to me in air hockey by the girl.

I dropped the kids off around 2:30, then went for an early dinner with Shelley and some friends. It was a nice dinner. I wish I could say the same about the drive home. The drive, which should have been no more than 30 minutes, ended up being over an hour because of – you guessed it – construction!

Madman
There used to be a hilarious blogger who called himself Madman. The name of his blog was Idiots and a Journal of the Disgusting Girl at Work. After being found out by someone at work in 2005, he shut down the Idiots blog. This is all that’s left of it. He made a half-hearted attempt at a second blog, but that didn’t last very long. Indications on that blog were that he was having health problems. Here’s a link.

Interestingly, there is no tracer of his original blog online – not in Google’s cache or on any internet archive sites. Shame….Those posts were a riot. Read more.

You'll get no sympathy from me until you tell me about the time it took you five hours to travel 40 miles through a NON construction area, with ruts in the road over a foot deep, in a third world country without a bra ;) SISSY!
