Three Word Wednesday

The rules, if you wanna call 'em that, are here.
Today's Words: Burning, Quietly, Taxi

Morning
Continuation of "Dreams"
She slipped into the back seat of the taxi, quietly bearing the burning toll the sun had exacted on her fair skin the previous day. Michelle’s eyes welled up as the cab pulled away from the curb.

Janice slept, murmuring quietly as she dreamed about something. A distant garbage truck whined. Wind chimes on the back porch stirred under a light sea breeze as birds slowly awakened to the twilight of another morning.

Economic yet very evocative. This wazs really good.

P.S. Can you tell me how to include a link in a commentary the way you did it on the 3WW site? Thanks.

Very descriptive and can solidly stand alone even without "Dreams". :)

Works very well on its own... Good job. (And as part of your story, it's even better).

Such sadness in so few words. I wonder how Janice will react when she finds Michelle is gone.

Goodbye, Michelle. Things have a way of working out. Trust Carlos.

Ooo, so she's going to Tennessee? The story is unfolding nicely, Carlos.
